Association Rules

All Incorporated Associations must have rules, sometimes referred to as their constitution. The rules guide the running of the association, but do not affect the day to day running of events and general business.

Information for Association Members

Members of the Melbourne AWS User Group Inc. have an important role to play in the running of the Melborne AWS User Group.

Important
You do not need to be a member of the association to attend our events or join any of our digital channels. They are open to the public and are free of charge.

Eligiblity

Anyone over the age of 15 can be a member of the association. However, as our events and digital channels exist for the benefit of the community as a whole, not just members, we generally restrict membership of the association to regular attendees and active volunteers. This is to keep the adminstrative overhead of managing an association down.

The Melbourne AWS User Group is run by an Incorporated Association known as the Melbourne AWS User Group Inc., which is registered with Consumer Affairs Victoria.

Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of the Melbourne AWS User Group Inc. will be held on Wednesday, 27th April 2022 at 8:30pm. The meeting will be held in person at a venue to be determined but located close to where the meetup will be that evening.

Organisers Committee

Like all incorporated associations, the Melbourne AWS User Group Inc is managed by a committee.

Our committee is an evolution of the group of organisers we had prior to our incorporation, and they perform essentially the same role, though more formally.
